There are very few places around the UK where you can safely learn to drive under 17 on an off road circuit, and even fewer where you can have 1-to-1 driving lessons aged 14, 15 or 16 following a structured programme. So if you are serious about getting a head start on learning to drive.
All our Young Driver instructors are fully qualified Driving Standards Agency Approved (ADI's) and have been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau. My handpicked team will instil an awareness of the responsibilities of driving from the start
Why do we encourage 14 — 17 year olds to drive ?
- One in five newly qualified drivers will crash within 6 months of passing their test.
- Newly qualified drivers and their passengers account for one in five UK road deaths.
- In Sweden, accident rates were slashed by 40% when drivers had lessons at an earlier age.
Young Driver Experiences
Young driver experiences are open to anyone who is 14+ and 1.5m Tall. On the lessons you will drive a dual control car and learn everything from how to start the engine, move off safely, manoeuvre, brake, reverse, park, change gear through to carrying out things like an emergency stop.
Young driver proficiency courses
Work towards your Young Driver Proficiency certificates 1, 2 and 3. After each lesson your instructor will chart your progress in your own personal Young Drivers Log. This is very important so you can see how you are progressing and plan future training. When you are 17 and start driving lessons on the roads, your instructor will then be able to see your level of progress and experience – putting you way ahead of most other 17 year olds.
